HbA1c ( Diabetes )
The HbA1c test measures your glycated haemoglobin, the percentage of haemoglobin in your red blood cells that has glucose attached to it. Because red blood cells live for around 2 to 3 months, this single test gives a reliable picture of your average blood sugar levels over that period, beyond the day-to-day fluctuations a standard glucose test would show.
